“Hello There!”

This page is intended to collect different materials in the topic of bioacoustics. I’m planning to share stories, educational materials, codes and pictures related mainly to the sounds of nature.

Nature is full of remarkable stories, and research into bioacoustics and animal behavior helps uncover them. From great tits hunting hibernating bats to the ways global warming affects echolocation, these studies reveal the intricate ways animals communicate and adapt.

Some of my studies explore how mate choice can shape the evolution of bat echolocation, while others focus on how birdsong reflects individual quality and fitness. The impact of renewable energy, particularly solar farms, on bat populations is also a growing concern. Beyond bats and birds, bioacoustic monitoring techniques provide insights into species identification and conservation efforts.

By studying these interactions, research helps bridge the gap between behavior, ecology, and conservation, offering a deeper understanding of the natural world and the challenges it faces.

Come with me to explore new stories!
